Ink, watercolor on newsprint

To practice freehand techniques, still lifes of objects around the house were done in ink gesture and quick watercolor washes. Throughout the course, this skill was developed in quickly judging and recording shape, scale, and perspective. This was also an opportunity to practice composition and to consider how objects can relate to one another.
This project was completed for LA-1, “Drawing a Green Future,” a studio course covering freehand drawing and the problem-solving ways visual thinking can create a sustainable future.
